Urgent and emergency care

This conference provides a key opportunity to gain an update on progress with the Urgent and Emergency Care Review and explore how to address the immediate challenges facing urgent and emergency care services.

With Monitor and NHS England currently consulting on the options for reforming the urgent and emergency care payment approach, this conference will provide a valuable insight into proposals for the future payment system, possibly as early as 2016/17.

Urgent and emergency care services are facing profound pressures and, although capacity issues are most visible in acute hospitals and their emergency departments, fundamental changes across health and social care are required to create a sustainable and high-quality urgent and emergency care system.

Aimed at commissioners and providers of hospital, ambulance, primary, community, mental health and social care services, the event will examine innovative approaches to building a resilient system that is fit for purpose.
